sashiko

Something exciting is happening tomorrow, bringing colour and variety into Lockdown Life. Sarah and Chris have bought me a place on a sashiko embroidery workshop! All the materials have arrived in the post and the tuition will be given at a Zoom workshop tomorrow morning. Sarah is going to be doing it, too, which is really nice as we will be stitching together even if miles apart :-) She is working a night shift tonight so I hope she can stay awake! The workshops are run by a lady who has a small business  which she is trying hard to keep going, so it's nice to be able to support that. Here is her website if you are interested.

We thought we might wake up to snow this morning, but instead we have just had a day of drizzly rain. I did go out for a walk this afternoon, along the roads, and I made a lemon drizzle cake and a Greek Chickpea Stew with lemon and rosemary. Lemon and rosemary always bring sunshine and cheer into the kitchen :-)
