So Cold

Likely the coldest night this winter here in southern Finland. Right now it is -20C, and it might be -25C by dawn. Arrived today again at the cottage to find an extra 30-40 cm snow cover on everything. We had organised a local farmer to snowplow our road so we could easily drive to the cottage yard. Then a lot of shovel work to open access to cottage, sleeping cabin, outhouse, woodshed, well, and water heater.

The blip is of the cottage terrace. How different it looks compared to what it looked in rain.

We visited my mum today - the nurses had just washed her so she was quite awake. She was also talkative and started by saying how much she had missed me. A real improvement in interaction and discussion.
