Boxing Day

Today was so much better than yesterday!!
Is it sacrilegious to say I think I prefer Boxing Day to Christmas?!
Less expectation, less pressure, more relaxation, no schedule, no forced smiles!
Just more yummy food than you could ever possibly need to eat - starting with bacon and egg baps in the morning, right through to blazing Christmas pudding before bed!
Miss L was giddy to discover a giant Thornton’s snowman from Uncle D which she’d missed yesterday (see extras)
We played more Sussed Wonderlands which was the hit of yesterday. Best present ever from Nanny! You get points for guessing how your friends and family would react in different scenarios Eg,
I would most fear a supervillain who was capable of:
A) Draining IQ
B) Draining youth
C) Draining happiness

If I was a member of a tomb-raiding trio I’d rather be:
A) The trap-spotter
B) The code-breaker
C) The treasure dealer

There are hundreds of thought provoking questions about space, science, exploration, superheroes and villains and you get points for guessing correctly what the others have said.
If you’re wrong you can try and change their minds with persuasive debate (shouting and pointing!!!!!) to get the point. Some amazing insights into how the Little Misses and Mr K think. Just brilliant!!!
We had a full roast dinner thanks to yesterday’s leftovers. So lovely to have it ready in minutes rather than hours!
The afternoon was spent watching Top Gear Specials. The Little Misses have never seen it before and are hooked! We watched one where they were testing old 4x4s, and the Bolivia one. They loved it. So now Top Gear is on series link!
Mr K and I took Archie out for a wet walk (see extras) and then it was home for Christmas pudding and Hamilton. Which I didn’t really want to watch but is AMAZING!!!!!
A much better day. Yay!!!
