Wonderful seeing people

I’m having trouble with both my wifi and cellular internet. I wrote a long piece about all the security measures. It was lost. Let’s see if I can upload and then edit.

Ok, that worked.
The entire Mall is closed. Most metro stations are closed and more are closing. Many streets are blocked, including with snowplows, making it difficult to get through DC. Mailboxes near capitols are being removed. 25,000 armed National Guards will be in DC. Other National Guardsmen will be in the other capitols. Bridges to DC will be closed. Many airlines have stopped allowing guns to be checked in with luggage for travelers going to DC (there had been a huge increase but it was reported in the news). Air BNB has cancelled all nearby reservations.

Family and friends are turning in insurgents. Police leaders are turning in police officers.

When your internet is having this much trouble, and you contact your neighbor to see if hers is out too, because you’re wondering if the government shut down the internet, like they did in Uganda, maybe you live in a xxxxx. (Thank you Trump. Will our vocabulary ever recover?)

It was wonderful seeing the couple from work. They have a delightful, loving new dog. We went hiking in Catoctin Park and even got lost. We did find our way back to our cars before night fall. Then they surprised me with chocolate chip cookies. Dang.
