Still life for still alive

Apologies for there being no blips since the new year.

I've been very ill in recent times and haven't been able to pick up a camera much, but I'm improving now and should be back to shooting something every day, even if it is the bedside table or something on the kitchen work-surface.

Image is of a decoration from a bunch of flowers (have been told this is some kind of fungus, but that may be wrong) and I shot it using an old m42 lens on an extension tube for the close focus on an adaptor to mount it on digital body.

f16 and manual focus, mirror lockup, tripod and remote release. Processing is an adjustment to WB, simple conversion to mono, and a crop to suit.
