Satom

A beautiful sunny day. Work then a lovely socially distanced walk along the Rhone river with a friend. We walked 10km and chatted away. Blip taken at our turning point.

This is SATOM which is an incineration plant where our rubbish is burned to create electricity and heat for 6 500 homes as well as the local 50 m outdoor pool ( open in summer and heated to a minimum of 25 degrees).

I have visited the plant with school groups and found it really interesting. It isn't smoke /pollution from the chimneys...but I can' t remember the details....?

Thank you for all the comments about the little hands from yesterday- pleased you like them too.
