Flooded fields

This morning F came round and we watched the funeral of someone that he'd been friends with since young teens online.  Their other friend gave a talk about him that F had helped him to put together.  It's strange watching rather than attending but good to be part of the event from a distance.

It had poured during the night but we still went out for a walk around the village.  My trousers were soaked soI had to get changed when I got home. 

The photo is of F on the castle field path, the short cut through the village.  The path was beginning to flood so I don't think that it will be in use for much longer.  There was so  much water on the floods that ducks and gulls had taken up residence.

Storm Christoph brought rain all afternoon (and it still continues) with a number of roads closed around here including a partial closure of the A5 near Oswestry. 

When we got back we had some of the soup that I made yesterday before F went home.  Just right for the weather!
