Gliding on glass

I did manage to get down to Merewether this morning after taking the hounds for a walk to catch some of the diehards on those big waves .  With the backlighting the sea looked like glass. 

The waves were pretty big and the diehards (and there were many) were quite a ways out (third reef).

And now to deal with the heatwave which is coming over the next four days.  I might even have to get to the beach myself although I suspect I will be sheltering inside with the air con on.

In other news I am so glad all went off without a hitch for the inauguration.   I hope it is only onwards and upwards from here.
