Flower Friday - Lisianthus Macro

I decided to see if I could produce a slightly different photo of a lisianthus flower by going in very close (I've blipped one once before, here.)

So this is a 15-layer focus-stacked macro of the centre of the flower, lit from behind with a tiny LED light. Interestingly, the in-camera focus stacking algorithm failed to cope with the powdery stamens, and while Photoshop's focus stacking algorithm could get those right it failed on parts of the petals, so I had to do some manual masking too.

As always, thanks to BikerBear for hosting FF.
