Carse Mote

Today's the day …………………… to cast a shadow

A cold but lovely day to be out and about - with plenty of sunshine to make you feel that the temperature was warmer than it probably was.

The sun, still low in the sky, cast long shadows over the landscape.  It picked out all the lumps and bumps in the grassy field and made it easy to see Carse Mote - the possibly Iron Age Hill Fort.  I have blipped it before, but this is a much more convincing picture of the flat-topped mound where it would have been.  And it also shows its commanding view over the estuary of the River Dee.
