Waiting

Dear Diary,

We have far less of a snow cover than we had last year at this time. The remnants of many plants protrude above the snow.  We're all waiting for spring and I must say I long for it more than usual this year.  A cold week ahead and perhaps some snow next weekend   Although the sun is shining, the wind is howling.  An odd winter all around.
