Snow at last!

Snow can be a real inconvenience, but there is no doubt it transforms the landscape in the most beautiful way. We don't get a lot here in the south east of England.

When we went out this morning, it was very cold and there had been a heavy frost, but no snow.  The muddy paths were largely frozen, so walking was reasonably easy.  After we had been out for a while the snow started falling and became quite heavy after a while. I was very grateful for these two ladies walking by - especially the one wearing the red anorak as it stands out so well in the conditions. I reckon a couple of inches fell while we were out.

The ground wasn't so frozen in the woods, but the snow disguised the ground beneath and I discovered some of the muddy paths were still quite gooey.  My freshly waxed boots are now muddy again!

Best seen large on black.
