Peeking through the snow

The snow is still around although in parts where it has become compacted it is dangerously icy. I went out into the garden this morning and photographed the tiny blades of grass that were starting to poke through the grass.

On our walk today I had to be careful as many of the paths in the wood were so slippery with compacted snow. We met a man with two Vizslas, one which was 12 years old and the other was the cutest 6 month old puppy. Xena had so much fun playing with the puppy while the older dog grumbled and barked at them playing.

I had another RPS zoom tutorial today on textures, the second in a series of three sessions. Although there are only 8 of us and the tutor explains things very well today we all got a bit lost as it got quite complicated about making colour swatches and then creating a texture to use as a background. We do get notes  and a video recording so I will go over them again, but I think it may be the easier option to rather photograph something to use as a texture background rather than create it from a blank canvas.

And now it is raining and the snow is finally being washed away - I don't mind as it was starting to look a bit messy.
