Aye Der Ducks

These Eider were resting on one group of rocks and on the neighbouring rocks the shags and cormorants were drying their wings.
Even on an overcast, grey day there is something to see, if more than your eyes are open to it.
I love to hear the Eider when they’re nesting on the cliffs. They sound like Frankie Howard.
So, what have we done today. Well, we walked around town in the hope of finding someone to talk to at a distance. Living alone during Lockdown presents challenges. One being the lack of conversation. If I didn’t blether to Geordie I could forget what my voice sounds like. It’s a good job he’s a good listener.
