Lockdown #3 - day twenty-four.

Dismantled Railway...

A better day today warmer and brighter, and best of all no rain. We went for a walk along the old railway embankment from Bartlow to Linton. Built and opened in 1860 by the Great Eastern Railway, closed in 1967 by British Railways, if it were working today it would be a huge benefit to local communities.

The photograph is of a trackside shelter constructed from railway sleepers.. still there after all these years but slowly disintegrating...

Although it's just up the road from us we've not been here before.
