The second half of life..

Kairakau Beach

Changing weather

Had considered getting up at 5.00am to catch a sunrise but a quick peek out the window told me it wasn't going to be much cop.  The extras pic was taken at 8.00am looking directly out to where the sun was.  Hmmmmm....

A grey morning was spent in the van but as the day progressed so the clouds began to disperse and the sun began to shine through.  This image was taken a little after 5.00pm after a walk into the settlement and back along the beach, all in the most beautiful sunshine!  The second extra is a family fishing outing shot whilst walking back along the beach - I just love the casual, laid-back, kiwi-ness of it.....beach buggy on the beach heading from the campsite to their favourite fishing site, dad driving, mum up the front with him, 3 kids, the dog and all the gear in the back.  Maybe they were heading out to catch tea?

Lovely day in this very special slice of paradise.

PS 1st van from bottom on right is me - fabulous view straight out to sea :)
