..... a quick march over the ice to the area of open water.

Both flocks of Greylags and Canada Geese have returned and what a noise they make when they are at full volume as they were this morning.

The swans couldn't get out of the water fast enough to peck up as much of the wild bird food that someone was scattering .... a difficult task as the ground was frozen solid.

Very cold and frosty but bright with a blue sky peppered with stands of cotton wool clouds.
