Mr Scruffy

A friend and myself took a wander around the wetlands this morning, hoping to find the spoonbills.  We did find a pair, but they were over the other side, and as we walked around they disappeared.  Not to worry, lovely to see all the different birds,.....ducks, geese, swans, spoonbills, oyster catchers and there will be others.  This wee fantail followed us through the trees, hoping we would disturb something for his dinner.
When seen on the computer screen tonight I was so surprised how scruffy he was.....perhaps a youngster, not sure.
Home for 15 minutes, then back into the car to travel south to Waimate for a physio appointment.  An assessment, some treatment then acupuncture, I left with exercises and a referral for x-rays.
Doug has been away most of the day at the golf croquet place, he and another chap are building a shed for their new lawnmower - tonight he is totally knackered and fast asleep on the couch.
Its our 52nd wedding anniversary today, no celebrations.  I did cook a special dinner and we enjoyed a drink as well.
I'm really tired tonight, am closing down the laptop
