Low Key Jackdaw

Last month's Mono Monday themes were thought provoking and it looks as though this month's set by Carolina are going to be challenging too.

There's a lot more to low key photography than I realised and I don't think this jackdaw shot really matches the specs in terms of how it was taken, lighting wise in particular. I quite like it though and enjoyed playing around with the edit. It's not something I would have done without the low key prompt.

Looks much better large, as usual.

The extra shows one of his mates in a bit more detail. They look quite sinister, no wonder they scare all the small birds away.
