My Life in Pictures

By fotoflingscot

39/41 Broughton Street, Edinburgh

This property has a few reincarnations - it was originally George Keddie, a Wine Merchant, then later Baroque Bar and now Treacle Bar.
In the early 20th Century the premises above the Wine Merchants were occupied by Mrs Kenmore's Good Accomodation for Naval Men (highlighted in the LGBT History publication "Rainbow City")
The Extra Photo is an archive shot from 1916 of the same building and Mrs Kenmore's Naval Men
