Sad News

A day forecast wet but there was an hour of brightness this morning.    Showers arrived at lunchtime and have persisted so it's been an indoor sort of a day.   I don't seem to have got much done but news from Norfolk this morning that Jamie's Norfolk Grandma, Una, passed away in her sleep overnight has cast a pall over the day.   Covid has been cruel for so many older folk, not able to see and hold hands with their families and friends.   Today's was news we knew might come at any time but it's very sad not to have seen her for almost a year.   RIP Una.

Narcissus cantabricus, small and delicate, the flowers not much bigger than a snowdrop and in it's native haunts in Spain, it can paint the ground white much as a profusion of snowdrops does.    It's not well suited to outdoor life here, doing best under cold glass.
