The Railway?

L3 Day45 A dismal day so a circuit just round the local area through Bushy Park and Teddington. The Station still has the original station building which opened in 1863 when the railway arrived in Teddington, and nearby is a pub . The pub building was originally the Railway Refreshment Rooms from 1867 until about 1890 when it was renamed the Railway Hotel and had a full licence. It continued as a pub until 2006 and then after a major refurbishment reopened as The Bloated Mallard....Apparently the ‘Mallard’ was a class of fast running steam locomotive in that line. In 2013 the pub changed hands, had another refurb and became simply The Railway.
Interesting to see how similar it looks today. Teddington is usually a busy commuter station, but not at present.
