Glory Moments

Had a real glory moment this morning when I stepped outside with my camera, the sun peered hazily out through the clouds and illuminated the droplets of water on all the wires, webs, and shimmering leaves. This doesn't do it justice, but will remind me.

A rather less glorious moment was standing outside in the dark together (just Mike and I) to watch the few fireworks over the castle while the bells rang rather dispiritedly, it felt, to celebrate the patron saint's day, compare with last year.

Gratefuls:
- making another lot of marmalade from our oranges and lemons, and the grapefruit skins from Sunday; we have to be quick to pick the oranges up when they fall, or the slugs finish them off, yuk
- Deb getting voted onto the leadership team at our church in Sutton, proud Mum
- Mike making progress with installing the electrics
