Waterloo Sunset

We've had a brilliant day today. We went to the Tate Modern today to see the Roy Lichtenstein retrospective. One should never visit London without seeing someone famous and I saw Denis Lawson (Local Hero, Bleak House, New Tricks.... ). It was a dull, cold day to start with, but when we came out of the gallery, the sky had unexpectedly brightened. We travelled via tube, overground and Docklands Light Railway to the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich to see the Ansel Adams photographic exhibition. It was our first visit to that area and it was very interesting. We decided to return by bus as far as possible in order to see more of the city, and we got off at Waterloo Bridge just as the sun was setting. The light was wonderful and we got some great view from the Embankment of the London skyline before the last leg of our trip back towards the hotel. A very different type of day planned for tomorrow.
