If it says it's closed....

It's probably closed!  We lead such exciting lives at the moment that the highlight of the day was to walk down in to Bingley to get some cash out of the hole in the wall.  Our neighbour had very kindly organised for the badly pitted turnaround at the top of the street to be resurfaced and a number of neighbours chipped in towards the cost.  The Waitrose driver was particularly pleased when he arrived today, especially after driving up the Hainworth cobbles, taking a detour to avoid the roadworks on the road to Bingley.  I hope he didn't have a van full of eggs!

So those roadworks.....  We decided to walk down the road to Bingley as everywhere is disgustingly sloppy and mushy, and because the usually busy road is closed for work on the gas main.  It was very pleasantly quiet but on the way back home a BT van drove past all the signs.  Tony flagged him down and said the road further down was dug up but apparently he knew better..

This is the view from our other bedroom window, mist hanging above the beck this morning and snow hanging on to Norr Hill.
