New project started today, the shower room on the ground floor. It was actually the first room to be used at the start of the build a couple of years ago, as we put in a temporary WC and hand basin for immediate use.
Now focusing on the shower area which I'm doing in a wet room style. The shower drainage channel was installed wayback with the concrete slab, and the pipes to feed the shower are already in place.
As this will be an accessible bathroom, all the walls have an initial layer of 18mm plywood, to comply with regs for 'robust wall construction', enabling installation of grab handles.
Today I fixed cement backer board to the ply around the shower area, and primed the concrete floor.
