127 accessories

The recent 127 day (27th January) and the previous one in December meant that, due to weather and lack of mobility, meant that I needed to investigate options for taking photos indoors in artificial light. Twin lens reflex cameras generally won't focus close and have parallax problems (since the viewing lens is some distance from the main lens). Happily a search round unearthed a close up attachment which my father had for his Yashicamat, and happily it fits on the Baby Rollei and the Yashica 44LM. It consists of 2 lenses, front right foreground in the photo above, one being a simple close up lens, and the other, which fits on the viewing lens, also including a prism to compensate for parallax errors. If anything the close up lens is a bit stronger than I want, but they are no longer available anywhere, so I can't get a less powerful version. I'll be experimenting with the system over the next few days.
