Dead Rose

I prefer my roses this way. I think they’re particularly ethereal and beautiful when they’re ready for the compost bin.

I’ve decided to work with still lives again. They were really my first true photographic long term project, decades ago. End goal isn’t dead flowers, but it’s what I have to hand right now.
