Witch hazel still going strong

I guess one of the advantages of blooming at this time of year is that you usually get a good innings - this witch hazel has been on the go since before Christmas, but it must be at its height just now. I went as far as the post box on Morningside Road and did my usual circuit to go there and back.

I heard that one of my neighbours was taken to hospital last night by ambulance with possible gallstone probems. Hospital isn't to be recommended at the moment, so hopefully he won't need to stay in long.

I heard that the ceremony went well today, which was very good news.
