The girl, the dog, and the mooring buoy ....

There is a huge expanse of beach for us today; the tide is really low. Most people are either walking their dogs or, like us, just walking - although with me taking photographs at every opportunity, we make slow progress.

At low tide, bright yellow mooring buoys litter the sand, tied to their anchor points by long lengths of rope. A small dog confuses one for a ball - though clearly it is really far too big for any case of mistaken identity - and he wants to play.  A girl helps, taking the buoy by its rope, swinging it round and dragging it along the sand for the dog’s entertainment. Sheer joy for both.
