Family day

So pleased to see Dan today on our walk in Cromer. We planned it yesterday. A drive in to buy bread in the bakers below Daniel’s flat, plus Danish pastries and take away coffee. Then we woke to rain, rain and lots more rain. But the draw of a cinnamon bun was too much to stop us, and we all piled in to the car, parking up by the sea, then, with heads down into the wind and rain, met Dan by Huckleberries. Our favourite cafe, Jon bought 5 to takeaway and I bought the cakes. It really was heavy rain as we started to walk, and so we took shelter in a hut in the bowls club in North Lodge Park. We had a nice catch up with Daniel, warmed up with our coffee and as the weather didn’t improve, decided it was sensible to head back. Dan walked with us back to the car. We will see him tomorrow on a zoom call with the Gibbs family.

Pleased when we got home to find our packaging has arrived, which means I can post off the order from Andy and another single purse to a friend. Mollie and I got down to sewing, while Jon and Henry put some loft boards in the garage nextdoor. It has made a huge difference, and is now very tidy. Hopefully my neighbour will be happy when she sees it :-) The outdoor plans have been postponed, but as snow is forecast for tomorrow it is likely to be next weekend now.

We managed an ideas thrashing half hour in the conservatory during an afternoon tea break, and from 5.30 stopped to relax for the evening. We are going to watch Quartet which was on the other day. Jon says we have seen it, but I don’t remember!
