Life in Sunny Dubai

When time isn't an issue

Diane couldn't walk with us today - she was given an appointment to get her second COVID jab, so G & I went to Dubai Mall to give Nara the space he needs.

We had our coffee and croissant and looked at what needed to be sold before the end of the day. G reckoned we should do our walk in the Mall so we started out to do a circuit on the floor. It wasn't long before we saw a sign we'd never seen before... To Fountain View and Downtown restaurants. We had the time and it looked like a long walkway, so we thought it would be good to explore.

Well, it just went on and on and before we knew it, we'd crossed over the road. It took a while to get my bearings as to where exactly we were. So it turns out, the Fountain View is the identifier of yet another Address Hotel (there's about 7 in the area now). The thing is, it's the Address Downtown that has the actual fountain view, and the newly opened Foutain View is located in the actual Downtown area. I'll leave you to work it out.

Anyway, as we were on MBR Boulevard and the weather was pleasant, we decided to walk some of it. It's not a road we find ourselves on in the day time as we specifically drive on it in the night just to see the lights. My extras give a glimpse of what we saw. I so wish I had the DSLR with me.

Back home to have a Zoom call with friends Gary and Cecilia whom we haven't seen since 2019. Big changes on the work scene for Gary and they will be heading back to Australia in a few months.

The rest of the day vanished just doing/catching up with stuff. G had her session with her kids in Geneva.
