Branching Out

Just as cold as yesterday but without the wind, however deeper windblown snow made walking tough work. And after a while, fingers began to freeze, despite heated gloves, making operating a camera difficult.

Outstretched snow covered branches caught my eye making a nice pattern against the darker trees. I couldn't decide whether to include the sky, but as it was quite dim light, there seemed less inclination to exclude it. Having the thicker top branch in the frame seemed important anyway and the patch of sky balanced that of the snow in the bottom right.

I hurried back after this.
