A Day Worth Recording

Rush

Another long day at work, mainly because I'm hoping to be able to take tomorrow off, but also because we're in a fault-finding phase at work, and some bugs are like onions.

Most of the day's weather was nothing special but I just spotted the sunset in time to grab the camera and rush outside for a few shots - thinking backup-blips. This one is "straight out of the camera".

It never ceases to surprise me just how fast the final phase of a sunset is (in the UK). In the time it took me to exit the office and briskly walk 50 yards the sun had moved from a full disc to this remnant.

This evening we started clearing a back room for decorating - hence the 'day off' tomorrow. This meant Cupcake had to put the Xbox back together (again). Last night we'd followed some 'last ditch' instructions on a possible fix for the Red Rings Of Death problem - that of playing a paint stripper air gun over the chips for a number of minutes.

I, for one, was expecting a 'pop' and a very dead Xbox when we applied power. Somewhat to our amazement, it all burst in to life, and is now working fine.
