Ungrowing

There is no such word. But perhaps there should be.

This tree has spent many years growing. And now the process is in reverse. It is gently but steadily disintegrating.

A lovely morning. The beast from the east has not treated us harshly here on the sheltered parts of Morecambe Bay. A 10,000 step walk this morning through the woods with sunshine and little wind. A most enjoyable outing.

A little sad to see the many mature Ash trees which are having to be felled by the National Trust. They are all suffering from Ash Dieback. As this can lead to substantial branches falling, the ones near to the footpaths have to be made safe.

I expect we may be watching some hours of the trial of former President Trump later in the day.
