Blakemere

It felt like we were on a proper walk today as we walked up Old Pale, around  Blakemere, stopped at the Delamere visitor centre cafe for a coffee and teacake and then back home. The weather was fabulous and the view from Old Pale was extensive so I was glad I took my binoculars. This was taken looking across Blakemere which had partially frozen.

Lands End to John O'Groats 1000 Mile Virtual Challenge Update

Day 3 -  Cornwall. 8 miles walked. 17  miles completed.
Continued down into Mousehole where we paid a virtual visit to the Mousehole Bird Hospital (I think we have really been here). We then had a virtual coffee and cake at the Old Pilchard Press cafe. The route continued along the coast through Newlyn into Penzance where we passed the guest house where we stayed for a week while walking the South West Coast Path in 2009. Time for a quick virtual pint at the Dock Inn and then past the railway station out of Penzance. After a stretch on the A30 we took the road down towards Marazion ending up outside a Leonard Cheshire Home.
