Flower Friday Triptych

I blipped this same flower head as a Pep Ventosa a couple of days ago, today I've used my macro lens with a 31mm extension tube.  This is a lace-cap hydrangea and my lens is right in the face of those teeny wee "crown" things.  One image, sliced into three.
Last nights opening book club dinner was very successful and nice to have our husbands along with us....that's it for them now until this time next year.
Our bestie Terry arrived out this morning, wanting to check us out and the state of play with our repairs.  It was slightly wet this morning so nice to have a yarn and catch up on the news.
I've just committed myself to judging the Gisborne Photographic Society March competitions, that is going to be a big job I think - both digital and print along with comments. Two set subjects, I declined to take on Open as well - just too much for one person.
We've been watching the Australian Open Tennis on the TV - feel for Melbourne as they have just been put back into a strict 5 day lockdown again as Covid has reared its ugly head again.  What a bummer.
I really can't see us getting to Australia and our family this year the way things are playing out.  The Pfizer vaccinations will get underway here in seven days time, front line workers, border workers, family members of them and so on.....it will be the second half of the year before they start jabbing us olds.  Still, its progress at least.
