Dent

Today I saw the mantis nymph that lives on the Angelica for the first time since she caste her second-to-last skin. Strangely. there is a dent on her abdomen that wasn’t there in her last instar. I can’t imagine how it happened. This nymph is from the egg case I found in the dirt last autumn. Story here.
