Icicles

Our local walk took us to the quiet and relatively unknown Abbey Lakes, in Upholland, originally the supply lake for a Benedictine Priory nearby, founded in 1319 after a smaller chapel of worship from 1307.
It is now used by a local angling club, so is well pathed, neat and tidy.
The overflow pictured has been splashing the rocks and branches, and has formed quite thick ice layers over everything it has touched!
