Benchmark
Our walk up the Wigan Flight of the Leeds/Liverpool Canal gave us an opportunity for some benchmark hunting, and we found a couple, including this one on Bridge 53, the Britannia Bridge, which has a commemorative carving dated October 22nd 1863, the opening date of the whole length of the canal.
