Baby it's cold outside...

With the wind picking up, it's been fiercely cold again.
Jack popped round with Frieda for an outdoor visit, on their way back from a short trip out.  He said that Frieda had needed a nap after lunch, but had not wanted one - of course - and she got into a state with the tiredness.  She had a bit of a meltdown. So Jack went for a short drive with her, and she promptly fell fast asleep, snoring contentedly.
How well I remember those kinds of times, when Jack and Ruth were tiny; it's lovely to share the moments and the memories with them, now that they have little ones of their own.   I'm very proud of how they're both doing as parents.
So we had a short excursion to the park, with a bottle of warm milk to hand.  Jack and I had a bit of a catch up about how his job's going.  Frieda perked up a bit after having the milk, but the thought bubble was really saying 'what are we doing out here in the cold...?' After a while, I looked at her and said 'Frieda, would you like to get back in the car and get warm?' 'Yes!' she said, immediately.   It was definitely what she needed.
