Reeds And Aspen

In an effort to make a photograph that did not contain snow, I zoomed in on the tall grass-like reeds, set against some Aspen trees. I thought they made an interesting pattern and I liked the warm tones compared with the cooler greys.

I had to time the shot, coinciding with a lull in the wind, to minimise movement of the reeds which, being about six feet in height, blew about easily.

I played about with aperture to get enough separation between the foreground reeds and the trees behind.
