Flowers Under Snow

We didn't get quite as much snow as predicted.....so far.... but 6 inches more is predicted tonight. The high temperature today was 28F (-2.2C) so the roads were icy all day. I am grateful that these low temperatures are only going to last a few days; we don't have to go anywhere, we can stay home and enjoy the beauty of the snowy landscape. I do hope the Hellebore is okay; it doesn't look so good in that extra shot, but those flowers always bending down and I think they will be okay. So, Anni, I did go out in the snow to get a flower shot today; thanks for hosting.

The really bad news about this snow/icy storm is that the 3000 people with Covid Vaccine appointments today were cancelled.....and tomorrow 3000 more were cancelled....that must be so disappointing for those 6000 people. My husband had an appointment at the Department of Motor Vehicles to renew his driver's license & correct an error on his boat trailer license.......of course it was cancelled too. The worst part of it is that he had to go to the back of the line and make an appointment for the end of April; that will be a problem since he is leaving for a trip on April 13th and he will have an expired driver's license when he tries to rent a car at his destination.

Little Miss Ellie was out in the snow this morning at 8AM; her Grandpa (our son) sent us a photo, she looked bundled up with a warm coat, hat, boots & gloves but had her normal dress with ballet skirt on. ;-))

It was a nice day for a sewing project and finishing a couple more indoor projects. Tonight there is the warmth of a fire and our local basketball team playing on TV.

I hope your weekend is pleasant and you feel good about the choices you make about how to spend your time.
