Happy Chinese New Year

Little Miss Ellie's Grandmother is Asian and she set up this feast to celebrate Chinese New Year. I need to ask some questions about the significance of the 5 bowls of rice and the dishes laid out each year. Of course, little Ellie is dressed in a special dress and she was proud to show it off in this photo put on line by our son, her grandpa. I took a photo of my computer screen.

Snow has not started here yet, but some areas of Portland are already getting snow or freezing rain. I know this is not a big deal to many around the world, but In Portland Oregon snow is a big deal........ our town is not prepared to keep the roads safe and most residents don't know how to drive in the ice and snow. Freezing rain covered by soft snow can be tricky and slippery.

Stay safe.....wear masks where appropriate and get your vaccine.......but always be careful doing the ordinary things of life.......falls can mess with your wellbeing for a long time.
