First sign of spring!

This past week has been snowing, but warming up a little during the day. Perfect weather to tap the maple trees.
I love seeing the sap buckets on the trees, rather than the plastic tubing. Although, I'm sure the tubing is a more efficient way to gather the sap. This beautiful old maple tree has probably given hundreds of gallons of sap in its lifetime.
After taking this photo, all I could think about was pancakes!
