Tiny fluffballs

These two St Valentine's Day visitors are long-tailed tits (Aegithalos caudatus) in Family B's garden this morning. They gave the dead heads of a hydrangea a thorough going-over. I guess there must be (have been?!) tiny insects overwintering in the flower heads.

Bitter nip in the air today, while snow lingers on the ground.
