Well, by this morning, the mist here had gone and the weather returned to the glorious pattern of the last few days - sunny, but still quite cold. The afternoon was spent clearing more ivy and brambles from a triangular corner of the field, which bounds with three other properties. It became apparent that one has been using it as a dump and another as a part extension to their garden! Hmmm, what to do? It's understandable, given that the previous owner did nothing for the past 15 years. So, a softly, softly approach may be best.

Where the ivy crawls over the ground, it's relatively easy to pull out long strands. Suddenly this little creature appeared, fascinated by the movement. It must be quite young as it exhibited kitten-like behaviour and it was a fun distraction playing with it for a few minutes. Apologies to those who object to the red eye - kept in deliberately to add a little touch of drama!
