The jumbled back yard

Above us, only wires.

I've never figured out how Canadian companies think this is a good idea. Phone wires, hydro wires, God knows what else - all just thrown between one house and the next. Every year trees are slashed and chopped to protect the wires. Surely there has to be a better way of managing it?

The house to the back of us empty - and has been since our neighbour died a couple of years ago. We live in constant fear of it and its immediate neighbour house (also empty) being torn down and replaced with condos. That is the sort of shit they do in Ottawa. Infill.

There was movement today on that front. A mysterious white van appeared and a man went between the two houses, going in and then going around to check... fingers crossed.
