Cofflete Creek

This little stone bridge is on the route of the Erme Plym Trail at the head of Cofflete Creek. Ahead through the woods, the sign shows the direction of the path to the hamlet of Spriddlestone. The path here is cut into the side of the wood and as you walk though the moss-covered trees you get the sense of this being a very ancient track. In the opposite direction another track leads uphill through a green sunken lane to the village of Brixton. On both sides of the creek the edges of the paths were lined with clumps of snowdrops. The extra photo shows some of snowdrops on the walk today.
