Swan

Sitting at home, I really didn’t feel like taking a photograph today but took my camera up to Southchurch Park as I hadn’t been there for a while. I had a great time walking and watching the people, dogs and birds attracted by the lake there. Naturally photos were taken. I don’t particularly like swans, or the classic “graceful swan on water” type photos, but when this one decided to take off at, and over, me as I stood on the bridge over the lake I knew I had my blip. They have been known not to gain enough height and hit the bridge but, thankfully, not this time. Positively tropical weather today! ;)
